A new addition to Oculus VR share is also a return to the realm of winter sports. We’ve seen several apps previously relating to skiing, snowboarding and the winter environment generally but this particular one aims to bring a real sense of speed. ‘Luge’ is, as you would perhaps expect, a luge-based virtual reality (VR) simulation, taking on the perspective of someone travelling down a mountain run at speed; the key to a good run being a controlled decent whilst avoiding hitting the walls. Contact will significantly reduce your speed and compromise your lines into the following corners.
The app supports the DK2 version of the Oculus Rift head mounted display (HMD) and is available now from Oculus’ sharing platform.
VRFocus will continue to bring you the latest from Oculus VR Share, be sure to come back daily for the latest.
