Over the course of the past few weeks Samsung has announced plenty of new content for Milk VR, its virtual reality (VR) video streaming app for the Gear VR head-mounted display. This includes a new fashion-based series named Fashionably Bound and a celebrity reality show by the name of MY 360. Now the company is announcing a new project in partnership with Spike TV, spinning out of the popular Lip Sync Battle series hosted by LL Cool J.
As fans will know, Lip Sync Battle sees two celebrities face off as they lip sync popular songs, dancing along with them, with the crowd determining the winner after two rounds. The VR app gives viewers a front-row seat to these battles, which includes names such as Jimmy Fallon, Dwayne Johnson and John Legend. Starting from today, clips from the show will be released on Milk VR to stream in 360 degrees.
This is the latest in a long line of partnerships that Samsung has set up for Milk VR. Other projects include work with the NBA and Skybound Entertainment, which is developing a thriller series for the platform.
VRFocus will continue to follow Samsung’s work with Milk VR, reporting back with the latest updates from the company.
