Jaunt Partners with 7 For All Mankind, ELLE to Release Fashion VR Experience

Today marks the release of a brand new virtual reality (VR) experience from popular cinematic VR company Jaunt. This time, the company has partnered with fashion outlet 7 For All Mankind and fashion magazine ELLE to launch Visions of California on the Google Play store for the Android operating system (OS) for use with Google Cardboard and other smartphone-based head-mounted displays (HMDs).

Shot in Paris, France, Visions of California allows viewers to preview 7 For All Mankind’s spring 2015 collection. “Visions of California is a perfect example of how brands and content creators can come together to reach their audiences in engaging new ways, and this film showcases just how powerful storytelling in VR can be,” Jens Christensen, CEO of Jaunt, said of the release.

Select ELLE subscribers and 7 For All Mankind customers will even be sent Pop Up VR viewers, designed by DODOcase, to watch the content. The piece will also be at 7 For All Mankind’s stores in Santa Monica, San Diego, Aventura, and San Francisco in California, and at the SoHo store in New York. A release on iOS is also expected in the future, while the video can also be viewed online at an official website.

Fans of Jaunt’s work may recall a previous partnership with ELLE that resulted in the release of ELLE: Jacquie Lee Photo Shoot, which took viewers behind the scenes of a fashion photo shoot starring rising pop star Jacquie Lee, runner up for NBC’s The Voice.
