It’s been a busy week for indie developer Wales Interactive and its virtual reality (VR) compatible videogame, Infinity Runner. Earlier on the studio released a brand new update for the PC version of the title, greatly improving its visuals and even adding support for the Oculus Rift head-mounted display’s (HMD) second development kit (DK2). Following that, a release date for the PlayStation 4 version was revealed. Now Wales Interactive has released a new trailer for the upcoming port, which can be seen below.
Clocking in at a minute and 30 seconds, the trailer features plenty of gameplay footage from Infinity Runner, as well as teasing its storyline. As the trailer suggests, this is a first-person action title in which players are constantly moving forwards, dodging obstacles and defeating enemies as they go.
Wales Interactive has said in the past that it is looking to bring support for the Project Morpheus HMD to the PlayStation 4 version of Infinity Runner. The kit isn’t due to launch until the second half of 2016, while the videogame will release on 22nd April 2015. A post-launch patch adding Project Morpheus support is of course possible.
VRFocus will continue to follow Infinity Runner‘s progress, reporting back with any further updates on the title.
