Emergency Water Landing VR is a new experience on Oculus VR Share from Italy’s the University of Udine looks at the possibilities of future safety procedures and safety education in general being managed by virtual reality (VR). In this interactive simulation, part of a series produced by their Human-Computer Interaction Lab – which also includes ‘Learn To Brace’ and ‘Life Vest’ – passengers are able to experience an aeroplane ‘ditching’ (coming down in water). Users then need to follow the safety procedures so as to exit the plane as quickly and as safely as possible. Of course, following these and not making mistakes can truly be a matter of life or death in such a dangerous situation and that is no truer than here
Obviously not one for those who might feel uncomfortable at the prospect, Emergency Water Landing VR is available now on Oculus VR Share and is supported by the Oculus Rift DK2 head-mounted display (HMD). You can see a trailer for the title below.
VRFocus will bring you more updates on this and other Oculus VR Share projects as we get them.
