Crytek has joined the growing list of companies exhibitors involved with this year’s SVVR Conference & Expo (Silicon Valley Virtual Reality). The event, now in its second year, recently announced Oculus as a Gold sponsor for the 2005 meet up and Crytek – currently listed as featured exhibitor on the event website – join Oculus, Sixsense, Leap Motion, Convrge, Cubicle Ninjas (whose work we featured on VRFocus earlier), High Fidelity and more.
Crytek had a very busy March when it came to the world of virtual reality (VR); revealing CryEngine 3 updates and VR support for the engine and bringing a brand new experience to SDC 2015 in the form of ‘Back to Dinosaur Island’ which received rave reviews – and a glowing preview from our Editor, Kevin Joyce. CEO Cevat Yerli throwing his support behind the medium in interviews before the company ultimately announcing their intention to develop a AAA VR videogame off the back of their SDC demo. So it will be especially interesting to see what the company will bring to the event which is being held in May.
Early bird tickets are still available for the expo, which takes place over May 18th-19th, 2015 at the San Jose Convention Center in Silicon Valley. Interested parties should move quickly however, as those sales end on April 23rd.
VRFocus will be there at SVVR 2015 of course and will be bringing you the latest news out of the event, interviews and more. Look out for more pre-SVVR announcements from us in the next few weeks.
