Previously VRFocus reported on a new update which came to War Thunder adding some new features to the World War 2 massive multiplayer online (MMO) title. Following the update a new video was posted showing the new features for the virtual reality (VR) videogame. The title is compatible with the Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD).
War Thunder is an MMO set during WW2 in which players must destroy each other using vehicles of that era. This can include armoured vehicles like tanks or players can take to the sky in some of the many aircrafts available at the time.
In the trailer a narrator talks through the different features added. Also it shows gameplay which helps to detail the different added features. Showcased is the new B-29 super fortress which is an American bomber with a massive wingspan. This aircraft can deliver a payload of 21,000 pounds worth of bombs.
Also there have been updates to the videogame’s visual effects. Included is the heat distortion effect, which makes it difficult to see through very hot areas like those on fire for example. Vehicles will now have to watch what they travel through as track marks are left behind on unpaved roads. This is not all; travelling through mud off road will be more difficult as it will disturb the traction control.
VRFocus will keep you updated on all the latest updates from War Thunder.
