Virtual Reality Los Angeles (VRLA) has today confirmed that the recently announced Vive head-mounted display (HMD) will make it’s public debut at the VRLA Spring Expo, Los Angeles, this weekend. Unveiled by Valve and HTC at Mobile World Congress earlier this month, Vive will be brought to the exhibition by development studio WEVR.
“As one of the first development partners for the Vive, WEVR wants you to feel what it’s like to come face-to-face with an 80-foot blue whale, whose eye is the size of your entire face. TheBlu: Encounter is a top-notch room-scale VR experience that demonstrates the richness, fidelity, and experiential possibilities of the Vive,” states the official communication from VRLA.
The VRLA Spring Expo will also play host to a number of other big name hardware manufacturers and developers, including Sony Computer Entertainment’s Project Morpheus, Crytek and an exclusive reveal from Reload Studios.
Tickets for the VRLA Spring Expo can be purchased now. The event takes place at the Marriott, Los Angeles, 22nd March 2015. VRFocus will keep you updated with all the latest details on the VRLA Spring Expo and other VRLA events.
