Today has been a big day for virtual reality (VR) fans and PlayStation 4 owners. Alongside the big news of a brand new prototype of Project Morpheus and the revelation of a 2016 release window, Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) have offered another smaller announcement that may have slipped the attentions of many: two new playable demos for the VR device.
As part of SCEA’s media briefing, the company revealed that The Toybox and Magic Controller, are now playable as part of the prototype showcase. The Toybox features the white robots made famous in the PlayStation 4’s augmented reality debut, The PlayRoom, operating on a tiny scale. Magic Controller uses the console’s DualShock 4 controller and does not require the PlayStation Move.
These new demos are being shown alongside the newly revealed London Heist and a brand new build of The Deep, the latter of which has been previewed a number of times on VRFocus. Currently at the Game Developers Conference (GDC), San Francisco, VRFocus will bring you hands-on previews of each of these titles in the very near future.
