Just announced for the VRLA Spring Expo is the news that Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) will be bringing their latest prototype head mounted display (HMD) unit, Project Morpheus to demonstrate to attendees.
With SCE’s recent showcasing of the new prototype Project Morpheus HMD at the Game Developers Conference (GDC) this week there is a lot of interest to see how the new specifications hold up against rival HMD’s being developed, like the Oculus Rift and HTC’s Hive. The specs released by SCE include a 120 Hz low persistence display, full 360 tracking, and sub 18ms latency. Sony will also be sending Richard Marks, director of Playstation’s Magic Lab for a special presentation on Project Morpheus.
The VRLA Spring Expo is taking place on March 22nd 2015 and showcases the latest in virtual reality, augmented reality and immersive entertainment every quarter. Alongside Project Morpheus, VRLA will be bringing the latest demos of some of the best VR projects in current development for the Oculus Rift, Samsung GearVR, Google Cardboard and others. Tickets can be purchased from the official website.
VRFocus will be on hand to deliver the latest updates and announcements on all VR tech being demonstrated at GDC and the VRLA Spring Expo.
