Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) provided an update on its anticipated virtual reality (VR) head-mounted display (HMD), Project Morpheus today at the 2015 Game Developers Conference. The company dished out details on a new prototype for the device that features a range of updates over the one that was introduced last year. The company also took the time to announce some new projects coming to the device. One of them London Heist from the studio behind The Getaway.
London Heist appears to be a first-person shooter experience, possibly using the company’s PlayStation Move motion controllers. Little else is known about the title although the name certainly harkens back to developer London Studio’s PlayStation 2 title, The Getaway. The experience was a gangster videogame set in London. Of cource, SCE London has also worked on The Deep and Street Luge. It’s not clear if the title is a full videogame or another tech demo.
Project Morpheus itself is set to launch in the first half of 2016. VRFocus will continue to follow the kit and the title, reporting back with any further updates on it.
