[NUREN] The New Renaissance Also Coming to Vive

CSP Industries is currently pushing hard for its Kickstarter crowd-funding campaign for a virtual reality (VR) rock opera named [NUREN] The New Renaissance. The team hopes to raise some $70,000 USD in order to develop this unique project for the Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD). But that’s not the only HMD that players can expect to experience the title on should it pass its Kickstarter; the developer has also confirmed to VRFocus that it will be bringing [NUREN] The New Renaissance to the newly-announced HTC Vive.

CSP Industries informed VRFocus that is will be getting its own Vive development kit and porting the title to the HMD when it arrives. The developer didn’t note if the title itself might change somewhat to accommodate that new hardware and the Steam VR system that enables features such as user tracking, though it’s likely too early even for the team itself to know what might change. [NUREN] The New Renaissance is an on-rails music video in which players will use the HMD’s head and positional-tracking to allow them to explore the various surreal sights and sounds.

At the time of writing [NUREN] The New Renaissance has raised over half of its funding goal with nine days left until its 16th March 2015 close date. Those that are interested in the project can currently pledge $10 USD to secure a digital copy of the title for its estimated launch in March 2016. VRFocus will continue to follow [NUREN] The New Renaissance, reporting back with any further updates on its progress.
