A number of developers and publishers are showing off work in virtual reality (VR) this week at the 2015 Game Developers Conference (GDC). Among them is Crysis studio Crytek, which has brought a brand new VR demo to the show running on its CryEngine 3 toolset with an Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD). That demo is called Back to Dinosaur Island. Today, Crytek has released a new video of the demo, complete with reactions from GDC attendees and a few extremely brief glimpses of gameplay.
The video, seen below, gives viewers a look at the booths in which Crytek is showing its demo at this year’s show. As the name suggests, Back to Dinosaur Island brings players up close to some pre-historic beasts. Here attendees can be seen physically reacting to the encounter, much like in videos of Project Morpheus’ The Deep demo that have been shown from time to time.
VRFocus will continue to follow the latest updates at this year’s GDC.
