Atom Republic has announced the launch of a playable demo for Atom Universe, a futuristic virtual reality (VR) theme park currently in development for PC and PlayStation 4. The PC edition of the demo is available now and a will be available for download on PlayStation 4 soon.
Atom Universe is currently undergoing a Kickstarter campaign in order to raise capital for the development of the platform. The initial target goal for the Kickstarter edition will include a main area and 3 mini-games to play. Stretch-goals for the videogame include new events, bumper cars, rollercoasters and the ability to drive vehicles around the park.
Atom Universe will be free to participate in, but will make use of an in-game currency, Atomz, for virtual attractions. Backers on Kickstarter are being offered set amounts of Atomz in return for their donations to the project. You can find out more details on the Kickstarter campaign here.
The PC edition of the Atom Universe demo is available to download now via the videogame’s official website. The PlayStation 4 version, which will offer support for the forthcoming Project Morpheus head-mounted display (HMD), will also receive a demo version in the near future and VRFocus will keep you updated with all the latest details on Atom Universe.
