Active Defence Gets Gameplay Video

New to Steam Greenlight is virtual reality (VR) tower defence title Active Defence. The videogame aims to add a new dimension to this genre using VR technology. It is to be compatible with the Oculus Rift second development kit (DK2) head-mounted display (HMD). Recently a trailer has been released showing off the gameplay.

Active Defence provides users with a series of weapons which must be placed along the enemy route in order to stop them from destroying your defence points. Users must balance strategic placement of turrets as well as shooting enemies personally. The title prides itself in having a variation of the tower defence genre by including first person shooter aspects.

The video shows off some of the VR gameplay features. Though they appear to lag, the developer states that the experience is comfortable and does work well. Shown also is the types of enemies which will feature including over sized animals like spiders and what seems to be wolves. The user interface (UI) features as well and is seen to be a simple radial menu.
