Previously VRFocus reported on developer Eric Fassbender’s relaxation title set on Blowhole Beach, Australia. Now another experience, A Walk on the Beach has been added to Oculus VR Share. The title is compatible with the first and second iteration of the Oculus Rift (DK1, DK2) head-mounted display (HMD).
Set on a quiet beautiful beach called Port Noarlunga, South Australia, the 2 minute demo takes the audience on a walk exposing them to the quiet and serene surroundings. In the demo, the beach has virtually no one on it and is described as being one of the best kept secrets of the city which is not too far away.
In the full 15 minute version users can sit there watching the waves roll in from many different angles of the seemingly picturesque beach. Different from the first instalment of the relaxation beach experiences, this one features a 5 minute sunset if players purchase the full version. The intentions of such experiences are to combat stress and anxiety by exposing people to nature which has been proven to help relaxation.
VRFocus will keep you updated on Dr. Eric Fassbenders relaxation experiences.
