Virtual reality (VR) could have a huge impact on the music industry. While companies such as Jaunt are already getting involved with filming live performances in VR, others are exploring the possibility of new music videos. Welsh band Little Arrows is doing just that and will be talking about its worth today at the 2015 South West Virtual Reality Conference (SWVRC) in a session labelled ‘The Virtual Museum & Zombie rock & the VR music video’.
The band released a 360 degree music video for I Man Ogre late last year, serving as one of the first examples of a 360 degree VR music video. The piece can currently be downloaded for free. VRFocus is at SWVRC 2015 to deliver all of the latest updates on VR technology.
