It’s getting harder and harder to tell the different between virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) technology. Devices such as Microsoft’s HoloLens head-mounted display (HMD) seem to offer a unique mix of the two technologies that suggests that the future won’t be one or the other but both of them working together. nDreams CEO Patrick O’Luanaigh will be discussing this in a talk entitled ‘The intersection of VR and AR’ at the 2015 South West Virtual Reality Conference (SWVRC) today. VRFocus is liveblogging the talk below.
nDreams is well-versed in VR, having already released a demo for its first-person shooter, Gunner, onto Samsung’s Gear VR and still working on Perfect Beach for the system along with The Assembly for Oculus Rift and Project Morpheus. VRFocus will be at SWVRC all day reporting on the latest updates.
