Soda Drinker Pro, Alien Makeout Devs Speaking on Simulator Panel at PAX East 2015

PAX East will be kicking off on the 6th March in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. Featuring at PAX will be a multitude of panels which have not been announced yet, with the exception of the ‘PAX EAST panel simulator 2015’. The panel will feature simulator developers like some key members of the new virtual reality title (VR) Soda Drinker Pro, which was recently greenlit on Steam. Also featured will be developers who have worked on the other VR title Alien Makeout Simulator. Others featured will be Goat Simulator and Catlateral Damage.

During the discussion panellists will talk about the quality of simulations in their current state and how the advances made by such experiences will affect the future of simulation videogaming. Subjects that will also be discussed involve technology which allows much more refined experiences. Also the social implications of this type of videogaming will be brought into question as well as the real world impacts.

On the PAX panel description it states: “Games let us experience amazing things like being a goat, drinking a soda, making out with an alien and being a cat standing on a computer. As technology has improved so have these realistic simulations, giving us fine-tuned goat, soda, cat & makeout mechanics. In this panel the developers of Goat Simulator, Soda Drinker Pro, Catlateral Damage and Alien Makeout Simulator will discuss the broad societal impacts of these simulations as well as the future of high quality simulations in gaming.”

The panel will be on the 7th March between 12:00 and 13:00 PMT in the Bumblebee theatre. VRFocus will keep you updated on the PAX East panels.
