Earlier in the month UK-based indie developer Tammeka Games laid out its plans for content updates for its popular virtual reality (VR) racing title, Radial-G. The first in a planned series of updates is due soon and today the developer has released a new video showcasing exactly what’s included. Said video can now be seen below.
The trailer takes a look at two of the new tracks that will be added in Radial-G Update #1, as it’s called, Möbius Delta and Dead Zone Alpha. A new user interface (UI) can also be seen in the video which primarily addresses the NOculus Mode featured in the videogame; a version of Radial-G that can be played on a traditional monitor without the need for a head-mounted display (HMD). The music in the video is supplied by Gizmode & Dan Page, aka Breakwhore, organiser of SWVR.
Radial-G is currently available via Steam’s Early Access system for £9.99 GBP with full support for the Oculus Rift HMD. Tammeka Games intends to bring monthly updates to this pre-release version leading up to a hopeful full launch in May. The developer recently confirmed that it had received a PlayStation 4 development kit, but is yet to confirm that the title will appear on the console or if it will feature support for the Project Morpheus HMD.
Radial-G will also be on display at EGX Rezzed next month. VRFocus will continue to follow the title closely, reporting back with any further updates on it.
