Ahead of the SFVR #8 event tomorrow night organiser Matt Sonic has revealed a number of new names added to the line-up, including Microsoft and Oculus Story Studio. Sponsored by Leap Motion and Autodesk, SFVR #8 will take place at REAL 2015, San Francisco, on 26th February 2015.
In addition to the previously revealed UK-based hardware reveal and exclusive announcement of a brand new virtual reality (VR) videogame will be a number of high profile attendees. These include Microsoft, who will make an announcement regarding Unity development with Visual Studio, and a talk from Neth Nom, Animator at Oculus Story Studio.
Nom has contributed as an animator on a number of blockbuster motion-picture productions, including Toy Story 3, Brave, Monsters University and Bolt. Nom recently animated for Oculus Story Studio‘s first short film, Lost. The previously announced talk from Jody Medich of Leap Motion will look at the new avenues for creativity afforded by the advent of augmented reality (AR) and VR.
In addition to these sessions SFVR #8 will play host to a number of VR demonstrations, including AltSpace VR, Tactical Haptics, Side-Kick Games and Homido’s smartphone-based head-mounted display (HMD).
