Virtual reality (VR) videogame Final Strike developed by Ghost Machine has unveiled new screenshots in the wake of its Greenlight campaign. The title is a first person flight combat videogame which pits the player against waves of alien invaders. The title is geared towards releasing with Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD) compatibility.
In the screenshots there are the jets the player will be piloting which are an F-16 fighters. Also players will be able to get a view of the interior cockpit and the enemies the player will be engaging. Seen also is the mothership the aliens will be defending. There are also images of mid air firefights with the missiles being fired at targets. Enemies are also seen being targeted through a lock-on system which also gives a small amount of information about how hard they will be to destroy.
The title allows players to re-enact their favourite moments from films like Independence Day and Top Gun. Final Strike aims to immerse players in the first person perspective combined with VR to create a visceral experience. Player’s will be able to bring down enemy crafts using either the machine guns or rockets which will lock on.
