Recently videogame developer Coatsink Software showed off a video for its new title, Esper which is compatible with Samsung’s virtual reality (VR) head-mounted display (HMD). The title involves puzzle solving using the characters extra sensory abilities. The trailer features a lot of gameplay mechanics players will see in the full release.
Set in 1975, users will be playing as a citizen being trained by the government to use their newly founded abilities. Esper involves players using telekinetic abilities to solve puzzles. Using the powers involves using the touchpad on the side of the Gear VR. As puzzles are solved, users will move onto the next stage, getting increasingly difficult with each level.
The video sets the scene of the character going through rigorous tests for the safety of the American people. It features a narration detailing the reasons for the test. While this is being narrated the character is picking up a Rubik’s cube and dropping it again. Then follows a short montage, this involves solving different puzzles as well as using the telekinesis to throw the desk across the room.
VRFocus will keep you updated on the latest from Esper.
