Last weekend VRFocus reported on the reveal of new gameplay from upcoming virtual reality (VR) compatible puzzle title, Esper. UK-based indie developer Coatsink Software hosted a livestream of its new videogame, which is headed to the Gear VR head-mounted display. For those that have had their interest piqued by the gameplay or have always been following it, a chance to go hands-on with Esper is coming later this week at the Game Bridge x ANIMEX event.
Game Bridge x ANIMEX is a free event taking place on 11th February 2015 at 18:00 GMT at Teesside University, Middlesbrough. The Animex festival itself runs from 9th – 13th February and features a wide range of videogame-based events. Coatsink Software will use the chance to showcase Esper, in which the player is cast as a citizen undergoing testing for psychic abilities. Set entirely within one room, the title presents players with a number of increasingly difficult challenges which they will have to solve by manipulating objects with their minds.
Tickets to the event can currently be picked up via an EventBrite page. Sponsors include Digital City Business, bluegfx and videogame development engine company Unity. As for Esper, it’s not yet clear just when it might see a launch on Gear VR.
VRFocus will continue to follow Esper closely, reporting back with any further updates on its development.
