UK-based indie developer Coatsink Software is currently hard at work on its first virtual reality (VR) videogame, Esper. The title was revealed shortly after the announcement of Samsung’s Gear VR smartphone-based head-mounted display (HMD) last year and has since been showcased at a number of industry events. Those that have yet to see the puzzle videogame in action can now catch a lengthy gameplay demonstration online.
Coatsink Software has posted a video of around 25 minutes of footage from Esper, with the developers on hand to provide commentary. The title casts players as a citizen with physic powers that undergoes testing in the form of a variety of different. Players use the touchpad located on the side of the Gear VR to pick up objects and interact with the environment as challenges gradually increase in difficulty.
A release date for Esper is yet to be revealed. VRFocus will continue to follow any and all VR videogames, reporting back with any further updates.
