Previously VRFocus reported on virtual reality (VR) developer Daggasoft releasing Oculus VR Share title VRTrek. Now the developer has added Bricktastic VR to the platform. The title is similar to BrickBreaker a 2-D mobile videogame which you have to bounce a ball onto bricks to destroy them. The VR title adds a new dimension to the experience. The videogame is compatible with the first and second Oculus Rift development kit (DK1 and DK2) head-mounted display (HMD).
Bricktastic VR involves the player having to keep a ball from leaving a 3D cube while it destroys levitating bricks. If the ball goes out of play, the user loses a life. If the player runs out of lives, the player has to return to the start of the videogame. Players can gain lives by destroying bricks and collecting gems. The title features an automatic save system so that players can return to the level at a later date. Users can play the title infinitely as the videogame will not stop as it will only get harder.
Daggasoft has expressed interest on the Oculus VR Share page in receiving feedback for the title so that the videogame can be appropriately updated. Currently plans have been made to add in new levels as well as adding power-ups and gameplay mechanics. It is stressed however that players will not have to start from scratch when the updates come so that users can continue from the point that was last saved.
It is not known as and when Bricktastic VR will get a new update. VRFocus will keep you updated on the latest VR content.
