VRFocus have previously reported on virtual reality (VR) adventure title BirdyKingLand. Now the title is available on Oculus VR Share. The experience is described by the France-based developer Backlight Studios to be ‘half way between a rollercoaster and an animated movie’. The title is set to be compatible with the Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD).
The experience puts people in a chase between two strange creatures and a bird that has a burger in its beak. This chase will allow users to look around the colourful and beautiful Birdy King Land.
The idea for the title came about through the developer’s experimentation with the first iteration of the Oculus Rift (DK1) HMD. VR integration aims to bring a new narrative device intended in creating a new dimension for story telling. Integration of the rollercoaster style is intended to create a new level of narrative immersion.
BirdyKingLand is now available to download on its website as well as Oculus VR Share. VRFocus will keep you updated on the latest VR content.
