Previously VRFocus reported on Virtual LA: Venice Beach releasing on Oculus VR Share. Now Hexa 360 has released a demo for its other virtual reality (VR) experience Virtual LA: Hollywood Blvd. The title is a demo available for the Oculus Rift second development kit 2 (DK2) head-mounted display (HMD).
Hexa 360 gives the audience a brief demo of its 360×180 3D system which the company has been developing. The title allows users to explore Hollywood Boulevard as a tourist and take in the sites. In the title users will be able to see the walk of fame complete with the hustle and bustle of tourists walking around. The title only asks people to observe the tourist areas all around Hollywood Boulevard. The title features a 3D VR experience with a 120 degree field of view.
Previously the Los Angeles based film production company has created other VR experiences for the Oculus Rift. A newer title is Virtual LA: LA River which takes people on a tour of the Los Angeles river banks despite not being an actual river it is still one of LA’s many tourist sites. The company is planning a short film Drone which is a neo-noir tale about a drone voyeur which finds out it is being watched.
