Mind: Path to Thalamus developer Carlos Coronado announced on Steam recently that the title has a new Linux version. Also, he had stated that he is still unsure of a release date for the virtual reality (VR) addition to the videogame but it is still a work in progress. With this seasonal announcement he did post a picture of him working on the VR version.
The title is a story driven videogame in which the player has to solve puzzles in a unique world. Manipulating the elements is a way you can solve these puzzles. Elements like fog and lightning can be used to overcome obstacles in your path. It’s puzzle system combined with an interesting visual style is intended to create a unique experience. Story wise, Mind: Path to Thalamus is about a father trying to make up for his past mistakes while comatosed. Namely, the death of his daughter. As the trailer asks: “ How many times will I kill her?”.
In the picture below you can see that the developer is working on the VR version. You can see him testing the Oculus Rift development kit 2 (DK2) on the monitor.
