This week mobile game developer and publisher DeNA released a demo version of its upcoming virtual reality (VR) stealth shooter, Protocol Zero. The videogame is the first of its kind to be released on Gear VR. Now DeNA has released new screenshots for the title.
Protocol Zero is a first person stealth shooter were the player must infiltrate enemy territory with precision. Using such features as night and thermal vision, the player must tactically move from area to area while remaining undetected. Similar to other stealth videogames on consoles and PC, this particular title is the first to make use of the Gear VR, supposedly adding a sense of spatial awareness to the title.
In the screenshots below you can see the different use of optics from night vision to thermal. You can also see the types of situations the player might find themselves in, like being spotted by the enemy. In others there are certain targets the player is obviously supposed to assassinate.
Protocol Zero’s demo is available now on the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Gear VR. This title is also compatible with Android game controllers and Samsung’s Gamepad.
VRFocus will keep you updated on upcoming Gear VR titles.
