Particles! Launched for Oculus Rift

There are a host of new, free virtual reality (VR) experiences currently available over on the official Oculus VR Share Beta. The page is essentially a software portal for small VR experiences for those looking to experiment with their Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD). Among the most recent releases is Particles!, a small demo from indie developer LazerMan47 that is compatible with the Oculus Rift’s second development kit (DK2).

Particles! is described by its developer as a ‘small demo’ in which players can use a keyboard and mouse to walk around a virtual environment, looking at various particle fountains that the developer has created. The developer recommends running the title in Direct mode for a hassle-free experience, although also suggests using administrator mode to avoid some potential crashes. The title can also be played with the Oculus Rift’s first development kit (DK1).

Particles! can be downloaded for free here. VRFocus will continue to follow any and all applications of VR, reporting back with any further updates.
