It’s a big week for UK-based indie developer nDreams. The studio has launched a demo for its anticipated upcoming virtual reality (VR) first-person shooter (FPS) Gunner. Available through the Oculus VR Store, the demo can be downloaded and played on the Gear VR head-mounted display (HMD) from Samsung. Recently, VRFocus spoke to nDreams Lead Designer Andreas Gschwari about the title.
Gunner allows players to commandeer a turret fitted to the side of an enormous vessel. From there it’s up to players to defend their craft from waves of enemies, using Gear VR’s head-tracking technology to aim. In the interview below Gschwari talks about the challenges of developing Gunner and for the Gear VR in general as well as touching upon the kit’s advantages and what the future may hold for nDreams itself.
VRFocus will continue to follow nDreams and its VR projects, reporting back with any further updates.
