Earlier this week indie developer StellarVR launched a Kickstarter crowd-funding campaign for a new virtual reality (VR) compatible flight simulation videogame by the name of Eridanus Wars. The studio hopes to raise £6,000 GBP in order to fund the title, which supports the Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD). Now the first screenshots for Eridanus Wars have arrived and can be seen below.
A mix of both screenshots and concept are for the title is on shown. The in-game images showcase Eridanus Wars’ brand of co-op space battles, in which two players can pilot one craft and fight either for humanity as it expands into the Eridanus system or said system’s native people, fighting to defend it. The concept art gives a glimpse of the different types of ships in the title, some of which the player will control, some of which they must either attack or defend.
Should Eridanus Wars pass its Kickstarter campaign then it hopes to launch a Beta version in late 2015. A Steam Greenlight campaign for the title is also currently running. VRFocus will continue to follow the title’s progress, reporting back with any further updates on the title.
