Now available on Oculus VR Share is puzzle solving virtual reality (VR) videogame Euclidia. The title was created by indie developer Broad Strokes in a 72 hour period for Unreal Engines December game jam with the theme ‘what’s in the box?’. The title is compatible with the Oculus Rift second development kit (DK2) head-mounted display (HMD).
Euclidia allows the player to explore a temple with a box in the center locked with different mechanisms. The player’s aim is to manipulate the arcane machinery in order to unlock the box. Puzzles in the title involve a series of light beams which the player must reflect off mirrors in order to connect. Other features are included to challenge the player’s problem solving skills. The videogame isn’t unlike other surreal puzzle titles which have been emerging like Pneuma: Breath of Life and Mind: Path to Thalmus. Both feature unique visual styles and intricate puzzle systems.
Broad Strokes is currently working on the new title Memory Error for Unreal Engines game jam. The theme for the game jam is ‘Back to square one’. VRFocus will keep you updated on the latest from Unreal Engine’s game jam.
