Small developer Cmoar, regarded for pushing virtual reality (VR) for Android applications has recently released a new VR experience. Available on Google Play for Android now is Cmoar Roller Coaster VR. To play this title you will need a Google Cardboard VR head mounted display (HMD) or similar smartphone-based HMD.
Cmoar Roller Coaster VR puts the audience in an experience similar to other VR roller coaster experiences. In 4 minutes the player is taken along on an immersive roller coaster ride. This title takes you over flaming pits of lava, abandoned mine shafts and through dragon infested lands. The idea behind the videogame is to create a truly exciting thrill ride, while enjoying the 3D environment. Cmoar aims to constantly push the boundaries of VR and augmented reality (AR) with apps such as this.
Of course, Cmoar also has its own HMD in the Personal Viewer however after an unsuccessful Kickstarter it is unknown when it plans to release. The company has brought such apps as the VR Cinema, which allows people to experience a 3D virtual cinema and watch films through your phone. Also it released a 360 degree video player capable of playing VR videos on your phone.
Cmoar Roller Coaster VR is currently available on Google Play for £1.81 GBP. A demo version offering a minute of the experience is also available for free. Although currently only available on Android, Cmoar has announced that it is keen on working on a version for Samsung’s Gear VR. VRFocus will keep you updated on Cmoar content.
