Previously VRFocus reported on VRPong being released on Oculus VR Share but recently the developer, Nejc Lešek, has launched a Steam Greenlight campaign. This is in the hopes that the title can get enough up votes to be released via Steam on launch. The title is available for the second development kit (DK2) head-mounted display (HMD) for Oculus Rift.
VRPong is a new look based on the original Pong released in 1972. The title involved players on both sides knocking a ball back and forth. The first one to knock the ball past the other player will win a point.VR Pong takes this premise in a new direction. First of all the videogame looks distinctly different with the use of bright neon lights. Not only has it been take in a new direction visually, but the videogame also features power-ups which can be used defensively or offensively. These include laser shields, missile launchers and a gravity pulse gun.
DeveloperLešek is currently working on implementing a multiplayer mode so that people can compete online. VRFocus will keep you updated on the titles progress.
