Indie developer Untold Games is currently preparing to launch the first episode of its virtual reality (VR) compatible adventure videogame series, Loading Human. The studio is anticipating launching the first episode on PC in early 2015 with full support for the Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD). This week the team has shared some new artwork for the experience, which provides a sneak peak at some new locations that players can expect to visit. That artwork can now be seen below.
The images first showcase the creation of the loft environment that has already been seen throughout Loading Human‘s Kickstarter campaign. A glimpse of that process can be seen with a 3D perception map, a detailed 2D drawing of it and then the stages of piecing that environment together in-game. However another image shows off artwork for six locations. One is the loft, but the others show locations marked a corridor, the greenhouse, the underwater lab, the kitchen and the gym. Though small, this is the first look at these environments.
Loading Human casts players as Prometheus, the son of a famous scientist tasked with securing a huge energy source that might save his father’s life. The developer is also hoping to bring the title to PlayStation 4 with support for the Project Morpheus HMD in the future, though only the PC version is confirmed for now. VRFocus will continue to follow Loading Human leading up to launch, reporting back with any further updates on its progress.
