Earlier in the week it was revealed that upcoming virtual reality (VR) compatible adventure title ADR1FT would be showcased at the next Virtual Reality Los Angeles (VRLA) Meetup event next weekend. Developer Three One Zero isn’t waiting until then to reveal some big news for the experience, however. The team has today announced that ADR1FT will also be coming to PlayStation 4 as well as the Xbox One. Support for the Project Morpheus head-mounted display (HMD) on the former platform is yet to be confirmed.
The news was announced during The Game Awards, which took place in Las Vegas tonight. The first gameplay for the title was also revealed, providing a glimpse of its stunning level of detail as the player drifts through a ship wreck in the middle of space, looking for resources to survive. ADR1FT is a first-person experience in which the protagonist is involved in the accident that wrecks this craft, although loses his memory in the course. Players will unravel exactly what happened as they progress through the story.
ADR1FT has already been confirmed for PC with full support for the Oculus Rift, as was reconfirmed with the appearance of the Oculus VR logo at the end of tonight’s footage. It’s not clear if more information the videogame will be revealed ahead of VRLA, though if not you can still expect to hear plenty on it at the event on 13th December 2014. VRFocus will continue to follow the title’s progress, reporting back with any further updates on it.
