It’s been a long time since indie developer Three One Zero has shared an update on its upcoming virtual reality (VR) space survival title, ADR1FT. Earlier in the year the team announced that it would be partnering with 505 Games to publish the title. Now it’s been confirmed that ADR1FT will be resurfacing for a public outing at this month’s Virtual Reality Los Angeles (VRLA) event alongside a number of other interesting additions to the Meetup’s already impressive line-up.
In ADR1FT players are cast as the sole survivor of a horrific accident which has left them suffering from amnesia. The player’s life support suit is damaged and they must find resources to survive as they try to work out just how the accident occurred and repair an emergency escape vehicle to get back home. The title is set to launch on PC with full support for the Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD). A console release is also expected, although yet to be specified.
Also coming to VRLA is Dodocase, the new smartphone-based VR HMD that is based off of the same DIY concept as Google Cardboard, along with social VR platform AltspaceVR and Pacific Rim: Jaeger Pilot developer Reel FX. They join a list of exhibitors that already includes the likes of Gear VR creator Samsung, Unreal Engine 4 owner Epic Games, STEM System creator Sixense and Senza Peso developer Kite & Lightning.
VRLA #4 takes place on 13th December 2014 at House of Moves, 5419 McConnell Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90066. Tickets for the event can be purchased from an EventBrite page. VRFocus will continue to follow any and all VR-related events, reporting back with the latest updates.
