SDC 2014: ‘VR Design: Transitioning from a 2D to 3D Design Paradigm’ Liveblog

Following the keynote speech at the 2014 Samsung Developer Confernece (SDC) earlier today it’s now time to dive into a long list of virtual reality (VR) talks and presentations. VR fans and developers have a lot to look forward to over the next few days and it starts with the ‘VR Design: Transitioning from a 2D to 3D Design Paradigm’ session from Alex Chu, Interaction Designer at Samsung Research America. VRFocus will be liveblogging the talk below as it gets underway at 13:00 PST.

“The commercialization of virtual reality provides an exciting space for designing user experiences and interfaces,” the talk’s description reads. “However, this mostly unexplored technology holds a different set of opportunities and challenges for traditional two-dimensional designers. In this session, we will demonstrate the Gear VR, review research pertaining to VR experience design, and discuss the implications VR can have on your working process.”

Make sure to check back throughout today and tomorrow as VRFocus delivers all the latest updates on Gear VR at SDC 2014.
