After a three month break, the fourth Virtual Reality Los Angeles (VRLA) meetup is soon to take place on 13th December 2014. The event will allow the VR community and anyone else interested to sample new VR technology and software. The last event, held in August, hosted 30 exhibitors, 7 presentations and 650 attendees and organisers hope to push the meetup even further this time with the help of high-profile participants such as Gear VR head-mounted display (HMD) creator Samsung and popular developer and Unreal Engine 4 owner Epic Games.
VRLA#4 is set to take place at House of Moves, a motion capture facility that has been used with videogames such as Halo, Call of Duty, God of War and more. More than 26 exhibitors will feature alongside Samsung and Epic Games. This includes the likes of STEM System motion controller creator Sixense, which is doing some interesting work with Gear VR, as well as cinematic VR technology company Jaunt. CastAR, Unity, Kite & Lightning, TrintyVR and many more will all be present as the line-up poster below reveals.
Also featuring at the event will be a dynamic series of panel discussions, looking at all aspects of VR. The event will run from 13:00 to 19:00 PST. House of Moves is located in Marina Del Rey at 5419 McConnell Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90066. Tickets for the show are on sale now via an EventBrite page. General admission is set at $15 USD, though students can gain a discount if they bring relevant ID. VRFocus will continue to follow any and all VR-related events, reporting back with all of the latest updates on them.
