Last week Codemasters announced that it would be bringing support for the Oculus Rift virtual reality (VR) head-mounted display (HMD) to its recently released tabletop racing experience, Toybox Turbos. The support is set to arrive as a free update for the PC version of the title in December 2014. To celebrate the launch of the title Codemasters has released a new batch of screenshots, which can now be seen below.
Just as with the previously revealed launch trailer, the screenshots for Toybox Turbos provide a taste of the frantic racing action players can expect when they pick up the title on PC, PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360. Players race tiny versions of a range of vehicles around makeshit tracks such as messy breakfast tables and hazardous scienece labs. Using the Oculus Rift, it’s possible to lean into the map for a closer view of the action, or look ahead for incoming danger.
VRFocus will continue to follow Toybox Turbos as it the VR compatibility nears, reporting back with any further updates.
