Indie developers Jon Hibbins and Nick Pittom are currently busy pushing to raise funds for their ongoing Kickstarter crowd-funding campaign for upcoming virtual reality (VR) compatible dungeon-crawling adventure, Crystal Rift. The pair are hoping to raise £4,000 GBP by 12th December 2014 in order to aid development of the title. This week a fresh look at the experience has been offered in the form of a new screenshot, which can be seen below.
The single screen teases a second colour for the title’s crystals, which act as both keys to progress through environments and limited-use power ups. The developers have already detailed a red crystal which allows players to fire projectiles at enemies but here a yellow crystal can be seen off in the distance. It wasn’t revealed just what type of ability this crystal will provide. Players will have to manage their crystals carefully as, should one be used up, then they will be unable to use that one as a key.
Crystal Rift is a first-person adventure in which players move on a square-based grid. Those interested in the title can pledge £13 in order to secure a digital copy for its intended release in July 2015. VRFocus will continue to follow Crystal Rift‘s progress, reporting back with any further updates on it.
