It’s been a long time since the development team behind upcoming virtual reality (VR) compatible videogame Narcosis, now known as Honor Code, Inc., has provided an update on the title. VRFocus last spoke to the studio all the way back at the 2014 Game Developer Conference in March, where it confirmed that it was hoping to bring the title to PlayStation 4 with support for the Project Morpheus head-mounted display (HMD) alongside the PC title, which supports the Oculus Rift HMD. It’s still yet to be confirmed if this version will happen, but the title has this week released a new trailer for the experience.
Narcosis is an underwater survival horror title. Having survived a catastrophic accident, players have to survive long enough to reach air before their oxygen runs out. This trailer gives a sense of the title’s atmosphere, touring dark, silent settings as the protagonist’s breathing can be head, as well as a glimpse of its story.
The trailer ends with the reveal that Narcosis will be arriving in 2015. VRFocus will continue to follow the title’s progress, reporting back with any further updates on it.
