Indie developer Guru games is currently pushing to raise funding for its upcoming virtual reality (VR) compatible videogame Medusa’s Labyrinth via a Kickstarter crowd-funding campaign. The developer hopes to raise some kr2,500,000 SEK to aid development of the title, which supports the Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD). Recently the studio has released new concept art for the experience, which can now be seen below.
The art showcases some more of the environments that players can expect to explore in the title, which is set on Temple Island in ancident Greece. The title aims to mix the atmosphere of horror titles like Amnesia: The Dark Descent with the mechanics of stealth videogames such as Thief. It’s being developed using Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 4.
Should Medusa’s Labyrinth’s Kickstarter campaign prove successful then the title hopes to launch in March 2016. The title’s Kickstarter campaign is due to end on 21st November. VRFocus will continue to follow the videogame’s progress, reporting back with any further updates.
