While fans of upcoming virtual reality (VR) compatible space combat title Elite: Dangerous are anxiously waiting for news on the full launch developer Frontier Developments is continuing to update title’s Beta build having issued the Beta 2 update just hours ago. Today the studio has revealed that another minor update will be coming later on, looking to fix some of the issues that the studio has discovered within the most recent build.
“Attention commanders – another update to the build is coming later today,” the developer noted on Twitter. “It will iron out some of the issues we’ve come across with Beta 2.”
“Thank you for playing the game, and giving us your feedback – we couldn’t make Elite: Dangerous without the amazing community,” another post read. The developer then advised fans to keep an eye out for another Twitter update later in the day. A full changelog for the update is yet to be provided, though will likely come with its launch.
Elite: Dangerous is a space flight simulator that features full support for the Oculus Rift VR head-mounted display (HMD). Beta 2, which launched late last month, adds many of the features that players can come to expect from the full product, including a long list of star systems to explore. The title is the latest entry in the long-running Elite series of space combat titles, which started in the 1980?s, with its original developers still at the helm. It is also the product of a hugely successful Kickstarter campaign.
VRFocus will continue to follow Elite: Dangerous, reporting back with any further updates on its development.
