Last month saw Oculus VR host its first ever Oculus Connect virtual reality (VR) developer conference in Hollywood, California. The event proved to be a huge success, with the reveal of a new prototype for the Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD) dubbed Crescent Bay, was well as other announcements and something of a legendary speech from Chief Technology Officer John Carmack. Now Oculus VR has posted the official videos for the day’s keynote speeches online.
Below is a list of five videos that filled out the morning of the Oculus Connect conference. The first is a short and sweet introduction to the world of VR, followed by CEO Brendan Iribe’s keynote speech in which Crescent Bay was revealed. Following that, Michael Abrash gives his keynote just ahead of John Carmack’s marathon talk, all of which concluded with the ‘The Future of VR’ panel.
Oculus VR has also revealed that it will be publishing the rest of the panels which weren’t livestreamed in the near future. VRFocus will continue to follow any and all developments from Oculus VR, reporting back with the latest updates.
