In an unusual turn a virtual reality (VR) meetup group is making strives to create their own development studio. Orange County Virtual Reality (OCVR) has today revealed plans to form a ‘dev house’ by way of opening applications for a senior level Unity developer.
While no specific information regarding OCVR’s plans have been revealed, a number of areas of interest have already been discussed. Specifically noted is interest in the forthcoming Gear VR mobile head-mounted display (HMD) from Samsung, recently announced at the company’s Unpacked event in Berlin.
“We’re looking for a Senior Level Unity developer to come on board the OCVR dev team,” states Michel Haddad, a co-organiser of OCVR, in a mailout to all community members. “We have projects in the pipeline involving: Unique input devices, 360 Live Action for CGI and Gear VR, and Virtual Reality/Augmented Reality experiences.”
