Oculus’ Abrash Hosting ‘VR, The Future And You’ Talk at University of Southern California Today

Last month Oculus VR’s Chief Scientist Michael Abrash was one of a number of company figureheads to host a keynote speech at the first ever Oculus Connect developer conference in Hollywood, California. The former Valve developer hosted a talk about the future of virtual reality (VR) in which he announced the Oculus Research group, dedicated to perfecting VR technology in the long term. Tonight Abrash will deliver that same talk at the University of Southern California.

The presentation, entitled ‘VR, The Future, And You’ will see Abrash talk about ‘why VR is likely to be a key part of our future, why it’s different from anything that’s come before, and what that implies for researchers and developers’. It will take place at the John Stauffer Science Lecture Hall and gets underway at 17:00 PDT and will run until 18:00. Everyone is invited to the talk, making it a good opportunity for anyone that might have missed out on Oculus Connect.

For those that can’t make it, Abrash’s speech can still be seen online. VRFocus will continue to follow Oculus VR in the future, reporting back with any further updates.
