It’s been a while since fans have heard anything on Life of Rome, the upcoming virtual reality (VR) compatible massively multiplayer role-playing (MMORPG) title from indie developer Breakout Studio. The title boasts an intriguing premise in bringing the historial city back to life using the Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD). This week the developer has shared some new artwork for the title, which can now be seen below.
“While we’re working hard behind the scenes, we’re proud to release this first glimpse at our promotional cover art,” the developer said in a message accompanying the artwork. It showcases three different characters that showcase the different life styles players can expect to encounter in the title, from soldiers to religious figures.
Life of Rome will focus on the Roman vs Barbarian conflict, with players choosing sides but then able to proceed how they see fit. The developer hopes to create inter-faction struggles, with players establishing positions of power and setting faction agendas, issuing orders throughout hierarchies. A story mode will also features. The title is yet to receive anything in the way of a release date.
VRFocus will continue to follow Life of Rome moving forward, reporting back with any further updates on the title.
